Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast found themselves experiencing outages on the start of the week after intense storm systems impacted the area, generating strong winds reaching 109km/h.

Residents reported giant hailstones measuring up to 7 centimeters in some areas. Meteorological experts verified that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Emergency response teams received nearly 600 emergency reports across the area, mostly for property damage but also for downed trees and inundation.

Tomorrow was predicted as the wettest day, with persistent thunderstorm potential expected across various areas of both states.

Medical authorities warned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
